As a Social Pack Dogs team member, you will be an integral part of the team from day one. Our Kennel Technicians are responsible for every stage of each dog's visit from check-in to pairing dogs together in special playgroups, to meal time and general facility care. Every day is built on an easy-to-follow, effective routine.
Some essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to:

feeding and administration of medications

rotating dogs in specialized small playgroups

moderating dog play for safety

basic grooming: baths & nail trims

general facility care and cleaning
-
continuing education learning and training under SPD representative

answering customer phone calls and questions

talking with the team and tackling various daily tasks

You should be comfortable working on your feet, working outdoors, working with all variations of dog breeds and sizes, and handling dogs in an assertive yet calm and positive manner. This can be a very physically demanding job; however, if you love keeping busy and staying active, this job is a great fit!
Reliability is a MUST - you are working with live animals and they rely on you to make sure they are happy, healthy, and well cared for. Punctuality and shift reliability is extremely important.
We also require all candidates to have the skills necessary to work reception as we move through your training.

The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work
This is a part-time position with the opportunity to work towards a full-time offer.
Days of work are Monday through Sunday. We typically rotate weekend shifts so staff is able to get as many weekends as possible off work. Typical shifts are either in 12 hour blocks or 8 hour blocks. Shifts begin no earlier than 6:15am and end no later than 8:30pm.
Additional Eligibility
Must be 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States.
Required Education & Experience
No experience required though it is recommended. Must have graduated high school.
